Established in 1982, Ramsamy Crane Hire was founded by Mackay-based husband-and-wife team, Lawrence and Lavinia, who combined their expertise to build a successful crane hire enterprise. Lawrence brought extensive experience from the construction sector and dragline operations in the mining industry, while Lavinia contributed strong capabilities in business management and strategic planning. Their complementary strengths laid a robust foundation for the company’s long-term growth and success.
Over the decades, Ramsamy Crane Hire has significantly expanded its fleet and operational capacity, continuously adopting innovative technologies and best practices to maintain a leading position in the crane hire industry. While Lawrence and Lavinia continue to serve as directors, the next generation—under the leadership of Lawrence Ramsamy Jnr—is driving the business forward, supported by a dedicated team of highly skilled and experienced professionals

Lawrence Ramsamy Snr is well-known in the Mackay & surrounding region for his steadfast commitment to safety, quality of service and industry knowledge.
Lawrence Snr possesses almost 50 years of experience in the construction, mining, industrial and infrastructure industries. With Lawrence Snr’s vast experience, our clients are assured the utmost measure of skill is applied to the planning and execution of every lift.
Our Operations Manager
Lawrence Ramsamy Jnr joined the company in 2004. Adopting the strong work ethics of the family business, Lawrence Jnr has gained vast experience and knowledge in all aspects of rigging and operations of a variety of cranes.
As the next generation, Lawrence Jnr’s learned knowledge has allowed business operations to flourish by having a firm grasp on the needs of the industry today and for the future.
